Wow were did the year go!
Hello to one and all!
As you may remember my involvement in the national comedy awards
finished with my meeting someone who in mind must be the most
loved comedian in the world, apart from being a past King Water
Rat and more recently Knighted by the Queen and being ninety years
young this year, if you haven't guessed it by now who else but
the great icon of comedy "Sir Norman Wisdom". All the
more exciting is the fact I will have the privilege of working
along side him in May this year.
A sucessful evening to a packed house at the Circus Tavern in
Essex with the lovable ex Gangster author and film producer "Dave
Courtney". This was filmed for television and will go out
later this year. I am particularly pleased as this will be my
first televison debut in the capacity as a singer along with my
usual mix of humour, I will be singing The Lady is a Tramp to
the sound of a big band. Dave's film Hell to Pay will be premiered
in Leicester Square later this year.
It goes without saying the one of the other highlights of this
year was joining the cast of the succesful Adult Cinderella Tour
directed and staring Jim Davidson OBE together with Jess Conrad,
Dave Lee OBE, Roger Kitter, Mia Carla and of course my two partners
in crime, creator of the Oddball's Comedian Danny Blue and Mark
Gale. A brilliant eight-week tour to packed houses and I lost
count of the standing ovations due to the superb professionalism
of all concerned, thank you to you all for a great tour.
It was another great year at the Marlow Theatre in Canterbury
for Dave Lee's Happy holiday Charity, which sold out within the
hour! Don't miss next Year. High lights for me was working with
Roger Decourcy of Nookie Bear fame and to see the comedian Tony
Jerrard achieving a standing ovation, it is my opinion that he
does not recieve recognition he deserves and I think that backs
that up.
I am in the process of organinsing another big night for over
a thousand people , to help raise over twenty thousand pounds
for the Dave Lee's Happy Holiday Charity. It is a big challenge
so I can only press on and sees where we land. Hopefully it will
be a t the Bob Potters Lake side venue in Frimley. I have had
a meeting with him and he is glad to help as is Jim Davidson were
he can.
Well that's it folks. Thank you for taking the time to read this
latest letter and I look forward to speaking with you soon.
